At SAMWO, our focus is beyond the higher volume, commercially produced wines of the mass market. Our aim is to offer the widest selection of premium quality, food friendly wines from Argentina available online, backed with a strong cross-section of wines from the other wine producing regions of South America. Wines from Chile, wines from Brazil, wines from Uruguay and even a small selection of quality wines from Peru.

Importantly, these wines are specifically selected because they are not present or widely available in national retail outlets and are typically sold in restaurants and other local independent stores.

Our range of over 200 wines has been carefully selected to give adventurous wine drinkers untold opportunities to discover new grape types, new wines, new countries, new regions and new winemakers beyond the mass market

WHY SOUTH AMERICA?

South American has an unrivalled diversity of wine producing regions.

In Brazil, Vale do São Francisco is on a latitude between 9° and 10° South, which is the closest wine region in the world to the equator .... closely followed by Peru's Ica Valley which lies at a latitude of 14º South.

By contrast, Bodega NQN vineyards are located in Patagonia, at latitude 39° south, placing them as one of the southernmost vineyards in the world

From Cafayate, Argentina, wines from 2,300m above sea level in the Calchaqui Valley making them the highest in the world.

Viña Falernia is Chile's northernmost producer, in the Elqui Valley, where they have transformed a tract of desert into a green vineyard that produces award winning wines.
