Food Friendly Wines

About Us

Choosing a 'food friendly' wine to enjoy with your meal will enhance the taste and enjoyment of both.

For many, pairing wines and specific dishes is a combination of experience, personal choice or recommendation from family or friends.

For both the wine and the food to have their flavours and tastes highlighted to equal effect, there are some broad guidelines, below.

Food matching South American reds with beef/steak is truly an adventure of discovery, and we offer a full and extensive range of elegant Malbecs to choose from, supported by the other regional red icons, Carmenère and Tannat. With fine examples of food friendly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Chile and Brazil, there's something adventurous on offer from every single winery represented.

Torrontés is also a wine to explore and is perfectly suited to food matching

Each of our quality wine producers also makes specific suggestions for matching their individual wines to showcase them as perfectly as possible and these are included on the product pages for all the wines listed.

You can add your own suggestions for others to share under the review section for each product.
