El Porvenir de los Andes is a premium maker of high altitude wines, made only in limited quantities
It was founded in 1890 by a family of Italian immigrants who settled in Cafayate Valley, Province of Salta, Northern Argentina. In 1999, the winery was purchased by a local Saltanean family, the Marcuzzi de Romero, with deep roots and interest in the region, who refounded the winery with ambitious intentions.
Since then, large investments have been made in infrastructure and in technology as well as the addition of newly planted vineyards. The older vineyards, which date back 40 years, were pruned and cultivated to rejuvenate productive growth.
Today, the family owned winery is exclusively devoted to producing limited quantities of premium wine, with an annual production of 150,000 bottles.
