The Miolo family started to plant grapes in Vale dos Vinedos in the south of Brazil in 1897 and is today a leading name for high quality Brazilian wines. Vale dos Vinedos is the first region in Brazil to hold a geographical seal of origin and Miolo's winemaking philosophy is to preserve the character of the grape variety and seek to typify the terroir of the region.
