Pizzato is owned by the Plínio Pizzato family, Plínio being the grandson of Antonio Pizzato, an Italian immigrant who came to Bento Gonçalves in 1875 from the Veneto region of Italy and brought with him the proud winemaking tradition.
With solid experience in the production of grapes, the family founded the Pizzato Vinhas e Vinhos in 1999 with the objective of making world class locally grown and bottled wines from their own vineyards.
The family owns 42 hectares of prime vineyards located in two areas, both within the Serra Gaúcha region
