The Etchart family, on the maternal side, has been in the wine business since 1850. In 1995 Arnaldo Etchart began a new undertaking, San Pedro de Yacochuya, in collaboration with Michel Rolland, one of the most respected oenologists in the world.

San Pedro de Yacochuya is located at more than 2,030 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest viti-vinicultural sites in the world.
