Viña Alicia

Alicia Arizu established Viña Alicia in 1996. With 25 years of research in both viticulture and wine making, she dedicated herself to creating Mendoza’s most elegant wines from vineyards that have been in her family for 3 generations in Mendoza’s Luján de Cuyo.

Viña Alicia was one of the first wineries in Argentina to focus completely on the production of fine “boutique” wines. The wines are produced from vineyards up to 100 years old at 900–1300 metres altitude in the Luján de Cuyo region of Mendoza. The winery produces only 20,000 bottles annually, all of which are sold on allocation to its main markets: Argentina, USA, Brazil, Germany and the UK.

The winery is owned and managed by Alicia Arizu, wife of the famous winemaker and owner of Luigi Bosca, Alberto Arizu, and her son Rodrigo. This small, state-of-the-art operation is equipped with a range of small capacity stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels for the fermentation process. Each of the red wines is aged for a minimum of 12 months in new French oak barrels.
