Pisco, Tacama Demonio de los Andes

Perú - Valley of Ica Pisco, Tacama Demonio de los Andes

Temporarily out of stock

Made from the finest varieties of grapes grown on the Tacama vineyard. This “Acholado” style pisco is ideal for the preparation of Pisco Sour.

The first Pisco Sour dates back to 1872 and is attributed to Elliot Stubb, an Englishman.

The Demonio de los Andes label has a history of its own. Tacama decided to use the name of one of the most notorious figures of the conquest of Peru by the Spanish - Francisco de Carvajal. Tacama liken his bravura to that of the Pisco in the bottle....the fear he inspired earned him the nickname of “Demonio de los Andes” (Demon of the Andes).

Peru has a National 'Pisco Sour Day' which is celebrated on 3rd February each year... Pisco appreciation
